![]() ![]() It also doesn't really help that neople has only ever confirmed the global team to be made up of 10 staff members so they dont really have much man power, granted this was something they mentioned around 2014-2015 when they decided to revive dfo without the involvement of nexon so we dont know if this still holds true now but they have stuck rather rigidly to the update pattern of All-In-One (AiO) patches for updates specifically because they dont have enough manpower to release updates at a stable pace so they resort major update every few months to not lag behind on the latest content and only sparse content update between them which has been going on for 8 years straight (they maintain bi-weekly events regardless so there is never a dead week) and then they only mentioned several months ago they're looking to expand the global team which could very well be indication that never gotten any mass influx of employees to manage the game since the start It all sounds draconian and many people will agree that it certainly is but its not entirely without reason since bots, hacker and gold seller was 1 of the major reason that led to the initial shutdown of dfo under nexon among other faults (its nexon, leave it to them to fk up a game) back in 2013 but neople dont want this to be a possibility again and if you believe them neople has even confirmed that the first few years after they brough dfo back was actually plagued by chargeback frauds which is what led to the current trade-bans for newcomers until verified since potential scammers/bots arent the sort to send a ticket to support Yea there is a lot of new player ban but not explicitly for no reason but rather its neople's own perceived necessary evil to vet bots and potential scammersīasically there is a very strict and sensitive security system in place that will automatically flag accounts for a variety of reason like cheat engine for a different game open in the background and vm ware among other things including simply just trade-banning/locking new accounts automatically until they send in a ticket to customer support about it which may be conflated with a straight up ban Is there any merit to the former complaint? ![]() Originally posted by Fear Denies Faith:I've toyed with the idea of trying this game, but I've heard a lot of stories of players getting banned for no reason, and I hate Nexon for their lawsuit over Dark and Darker. ![]()
